Dragonhearts

going back home
then coming back to mine
I want to cry
they’re not the same
why, why aren’t they?

she aligns
meticulously
the cutlery
maybe order fills
the gap

spray cream
slowly tucking in
the core
you hunger for
madness

is this even rain
falling for so long
it disappears
in this world
a single truth

he turns away
or does he turn around
i read in my book
then in his
it’s too late

I’ve made it
to September
and to Snow Patrol
type all emotions out
to the bone

this IS
good music
makes me
feel
at last

Been a long while that I posted on my blog, and this sequence just happened two weeks ago. The thing is, I love it and I don’t know where to submit my tanka for real. And I write them the way I feel them. They are not artificial or elaborate. They often don’t need editing. They are alive because of the way you can pause after each line. And how they change when you read on.

On a totally different note:

I’m working on a BOOK full of tanka/kyoka sequences, very long ones and a very short one. And it will contain art and illustrations, too. If will be about 130 pages long, something to digest for longer. This sequence shared here will not be included though.

There will be soon a COVER REVEAL!! And when I say I’m proud of it, that’s not even the tip of the iceberg, because I’ve worked hard to make it special and very me. I love it even more than my last one. (Btw, I wrote a blog post about selfpublishing, you can find it here.)

Can’t wait to show you!!!
