Sometimes I write a poem and I doubt someone else will see it like I do. Or see its worth. I’m ever so happy when I find out I’m wrong. A big thank you to the editors Kat Lehmann and Robin Smith ♡

    I see the helplessness of most people’s voices being heard, respected, recognised. Only the glass pane looks back and ‘at us’ and ‘sees’ us.

      Wow. YES. You describe what I felt during writing it. And also… the alienation of recognising oneself, the things we hide/are hidden. Sometimes we need to ‘look back’, and therefore look ‘closer’.

        I do agree. Over decades if I glance or deliberately look at a shop window reflection, for instance, I’m always surprised how different I am, to what I perceive myself to be.

        The same goes to anyone working with me, or close to me. We somehow all look different using a reflective surface instead of looking ‘directly’ at the subject/object, ourselves.
