Upside-down, But Make It Make Sense

What are you waiting for? — For space. Allowed to wait without a “for”. Will I ever find my will lying idly at the feet of any rise? It’s not what I expect, I can’t force it.

I travel with difficulty, heavy.

At night, when I look at the ceiling, I still see light, and I am its source.

streaming down
the mountain face
a brilliant sunrise
on my mind
the otherness of me

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I cannot wait for humans (editors… journals…) to understand that the human experience is confusing and complex, and that there are numerous people on this earth that struggle with motivation (e.g. people who are depressed, people with ADHD, …).

And I write about this by trying to take on their perspective (mine). I don’t carry a sign which states that this piece is about “struggling to find motivation” and therefore feeling so different from the people around you that this adds to the struggle even more.

I refuse to tell you everything. I offer hints. I write about emotional states.
